How Divorce Planning Partners Works with Family Therapists
Divorce Planning Partners works with a select group of therapists to offer their clients strategic divorce financial planning. Mike Kwiatkowski, CFDP® directs the firm. He and his team provide financial planning expertise to clients of referring therapists who are in need of their services to evaluate, analyze, and/or design equitable financial settlements.
When a therapist refers a client to Divorce Planning Partners, our first priority is to evaluate the situation and determine whether we can be of assistance. After we have had the opportunity to meet with the prospective client, both parties will have to decide whether working together is a good fit.
Our second priority is to insure full communication with the referring therapist. We know that consistent communication along the way makes the process successful. Our services are always provided within the context of client confidentiality.
If the client elects to work with Divorce Planning Partners, we will create a comprehensive divorce financial analysis based on client needs and will consult with the therapist along the way. Mike Kwiatkowski, CFDP® is also available as an expert witness in court if the situation warrants testimony from him.
If the client requires additional services from the referring therapist, such as post-decree or grief counseling, Divorce Planning Partners will have the client to return to the same therapist for the services needed or for a referral from the therapist if the referring therapist does not have the required expertise. When a client dealing with divorce is treated by a caring, compassionate team, they ultimately achieve much better overall results.
